Live cultures
Seven strains, generation 2 to 3, pulled from working production strains rather than a frozen archive. Liquid culture $35 per 10cc, agar plates $100, slant tubes $125, and large master cultures $225.
Ready to inoculate
Filled in a flow hood, sealed with a luer lock, labeled with strain and batch. Inoculate within seven days of arrival.
Keep the strain
A 100mm plate, poured and inoculated in a flow hood and parafilm sealed. The right buy if you intend to transfer and maintain the genetics rather than inoculate once.
Store the genetics
An agar slant in a sealed tube. A slant holds a strain far longer than a plate without needing a transfer, so this is the one to buy when you want to hold genetics rather than inoculate a run this week.
Build your own stock
Sized so you can pull from it repeatedly and raise your own working stock instead of coming back to us every cycle. This is the format for a commercial grower setting up a genetics program.
How these are made
Every culture is made to order. Nothing sits on a shelf waiting to be sold, which is why an order takes about three weeks from the day you place it to the day it ships. You get a tracking number by email when it goes out.
Each one is generation 2 or 3 out of the Southwest Mushrooms library, drawn from strains that actually ran in production rooms. The strain-selection process, agar work, and culture-expansion protocols behind them are documented in full in The Mushroom Grower and the species SOPs.
Shipping is a flat $6 within the United States and $35 everywhere else we ship. On an international order, customs clearance and any import permit are yours to arrange, and border checks can add time on top of the three weeks. If you want a strain that is not listed here, ask and we will check the library.
