Hericium erinaceus

Lion's Mane

Fruiting body extracts, working liquid cultures, and field-tested cultivation protocols. The species we run more of than anything else.

Why this species

The species we have run continuously since the lab opened.

Lion's Mane rewards careful work: clean substrate, consistent humidity, the right fresh-air exchange, and a patient harvest window. Done well, it produces the dense cascading fruits the genus is named for.

Our tincture is dual-extracted from fruiting bodies, never myceliated grain. The cultures we sell are the same working strains running in our fruiting rooms.

In our line
  • Lion's Mane Tincture. Dual-extracted from fruiting bodies, 60ml.
  • Lion's Mane Liquid Culture. The same commercial working strain in our rooms, 10ml syringe.
  • 175-page Commercial Cultivation SOP. ISBN-assigned, every parameter we use.
From lab to bottle

Four steps. No shortcuts.

  1. Sterile work, every time

    01 · Lab

    Sterile work, every time

Agar transfers under a HEPA hood. Cultures isolated from single tissue, screened across grain runs.

  2. Patient pinning

    02 · Fruiting

    Patient pinning

Lion's Mane rewards slow fresh-air exchange and steady 85–90% RH. Pin sets are counted, not rushed.

  3. Cut at the right moment

    03 · Harvest

    Cut at the right moment

Harvested when spines are full length but still firm. Past that, the cascade gets bitter and the yield falls.

  4. Dual-extract from fruiting body only

    04 · Extract

    Dual-extract from fruiting body only

Water + alcohol, fruiting body only. Never myceliated grain. What ends up in the bottle is what came out of the room.
